From cancer to health coach.
As a 45-year-old, post-cancer warrior, strength training and yoga are my passion and I'm on a mission to help every woman I know, learn to move better, strength train, and change their mindset to love the body they are in today & use it to build the healthiest version of themselves for the decades to come.
After discovering bilateral breast cancer at 42, I had no choice but to do exactly that. To rebuild into a new version of myself. One that had to be stronger than the woman before, to prepare for the future ahead.
Strength training is not just about building muscle, bones and mobility, we are building enduring strength, self-confidence, and mental & physical resilience to transform our health holistically.
We've never become stronger or more powerful with ease. Strength, mobility, and resilience require challenging your mind and body in ways that you haven't before, with consistency over intensity, and rebuilding your health that lasts a lifetime.
My approach to training is simple: Start where you are, challenge yourself a little more each time you train. That might mean heavier weights, new exercises you haven't tried, practicing plyometrics, and building an unbreakable core.

HOLISTIC STRENGTH BUILDING
After practicing yoga for over 20 years and during my teaching the last two, I've met hundreds of students, mostly women struggling with joint mobility and strength. While there are so many healing benefits of yoga, it's not enough to build enduring strength in the way that traditional, consistent resistance training does.
This is why I teach both.
MUSCLE OVER MENOPAUSE
Skeletal muscle is a major endocrine organ that secretes signaling molecules called "myokines" into the bloodstream in response to contraction. These myokines allow the muscle to communicate with other organs including the brain, liver, and adipose (fat) tissue—impacting metabolism, immune function, and overall metabolic health.
So, for midlife women, nothing could be more important than doing anything we can to preserve every ounce of muscle to support us through the symptoms of menopause.
By combining both the healing benefits of yoga tested for hundreds of years and learning resistance training safely and effectively, you can rebuild your midlife body to last the next 50 years, starting right where you are right now, today.
